TOBY, Robot Satan is the story of Morris Gumboot and his befriending of the insane robot called TOBY. At a meager 4′8″ tall, Morris lives a depressing life as a bartender at McGullwack’s Pub in New York City. TOBY spends his days wearing a Viking helmet and claiming he’s the Devil incarnate. Lonely and feeling pity for TOBY, Morris takes him in as his roommate, having no idea what evil TOBY may, or may not unleash upon the populace. Together, their follies and foibles make them the modern day “Odd Couple”… Only with robots… And sometimes plutonium.

TOBY is created by the Fake Rockstar, Corey Pandolph and runs weekdays on Universal Press Syndicate’s web portal, Gocomics.com, as well as in the printed pages of the NYC and Boston metro.

TOBY

Delusional Robot who thinks he’s the Devil incarnate. Lives with Morris Gumboot. Seeks the evisceration of the insubordinate.

Morris Gumboot

The visibly short bartender of McGullwack’s Pub in NYC, Morris befriends TOBY under the diluted idea he’s really just misunderstood. Morris lives a boring lifestyle consisting of work/sleep and the occasion toasted sandwich. TOBY is his only friend.

Dr. Lintt

Morris’ psychiatrist and mortal enemy. Dr. Lintt has no intention of helping Morris and he uses his sessions with him as inspiration for his latest novel, “The Last Surviving Loser of NYC”.

McGullwack’s Pub

Established after prohibition, McGullwack’s is neither a city landmark, nor an establishment with any sort of story. The pub’s owner once claimed he owned the New York Yankees and answers only to the title of “The Kaiser”. McGullwack’s is a good place if you need a restroom.

Melinda

Morris’ girlfriend and skeptic of TOBY’s multiple claims of being Lucifer. Likes pie, dominating her boyfriend’s will and fears most TV shows.

X

Originally named “Feline experiment designate: 12a”, X has become Morris’ pet cat and remains TOBY’s subject of amusement and experiment. X is unpredictable and skiddish in the face of adversity.
